Qualifications
My journey into birthwork began with the births of my three daughters. I attended my first birth as a doula in 2001, and have been involved in various forms of birth work ever since.
I received two years of training through the Womancraft Midwifery Program based in Amherst, MA, and completed three years of appreticeship. I recently passed the NARM written exam, and am awaiting the final portions of testing for Arizona State Licensure. Because I am not through with the licensing process, and can only provide primary care under the supervision of my preceptor. I am not yet a licensed midwife, and am not presenting myself as such.
I maintain current certifications in both CPR and Neonatal Resusitation. I am a Childbirth Educator, certified through Supported Birth of Arizona.
I am also a Certified Reiki Master, and have been practicing energy work for over seven years. In 2004
I co-founded the Arizona Birth Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to birth advocacy through education, information and support.
